About Tuscan Mosaics
A mosaic is a type of surface decoration used on many surfaces. Mosaics
can be made of many materials including glass and ceramic. In Roman times
setting colored stones in a regular pattern made mosaics. In Byzantine work
small pieces of glass were used usually with bits of gold baked into them.
Mosaics are truly architectural ornaments.
